Manufacturing: newest EIT community hosted by CEA in the heart of the Paris-Saclay Campus
19 December 2018 - The Paris–Saclay Campus can add to its already vibrant and dynamic science and technology ecosystem the newest European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a knowledge and innovation community called “EIT Manufacturing”.
On 6 December 2018, the “Made by Europe” consortium, which includes key players in European manufacturing innovation, was selected to set up EIT Manufacturing, an innovation community to be headquartered on the premises of CEA LIST, and share space with the Paris region’s Digital Innovation Hub. Surrounded by Paris-Saclay’s scientific excellence and economic vitality, EIT Manufacturing will benefit from CEA LIST’s expertise in building strong and successful innovative ecosystems. The presence of a local dynamic AI community, empowered by the French AI plan launched this year, contributed to the attractiveness of Paris-Saclay Campus.

Atos and Siemens reward the 10 finalist start-ups of Digital Industry Awards 2018
Paris, October 17 2018 – Atos and Siemens, in partnership with the CEA, announce the winners of the Digital Industry Award, the disruptive start-up competition aimed at digitalizing and revolutionizing the industry, construction and energy sectors.
Following the announcement of the start-up competition in May, a total of 78 projects have been submitted, from which 10 teams were selected as finalists and from which four were selected as overall winners. The jury was made up of experts from Atos, Siemens and the CEA. The award ceremony took place last night at the Palais Brongniart in Paris as part of the Digital Industry Summit, where the winners were divided into the following categories: Smart Energy, Smart Building, Smart Product and Smart Plant.

Un drone roulant pour visiter les égouts
Le CEA et SARP Veolia annoncent l’industrialisation d’un outil d’inspection autonome, le drone PREDIRE. Fruit d’un partenariat de recherche et développement initié en 2014 entre le CEA et SARP Veolia, filiale du Groupe spécialisée dans la maintenance des réseaux d’assainissement, PREDIRE est un robot autonome qui peut couvrir jusqu’à 1,2 kilomètre par jour dans des réseaux de diamètre de 20 à 30 cm, soit 70% du réseau des eaux usées en France. Avec une photographie haute définition prise toutes les 10 secondes, PREDIRE va permettre de délivrer rapidement, avec fiabilité un pré-diagnostic visant à préconiser des prestations d'entretien (curage) ou d'inspection normée sur l'intégralité du réseau visité.

Atos, Siemens and the CEA announce shortlist for Digital Industry Award
Paris, 23 July 2018 - The brand new Digital Industry Award, which takes place for the first time this October, has selected 12 start-ups for the shortlist, based on their creativity and ability to fulfill the industrial needs of companies.
The Digital Industry Award, which are organized by Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, and Siemens, a global engineering leader, in partnership with the CEA, support the digital revolution players in the fields of the industry, construction and energy.
Following the announcement of the start-up competition in May, a total of 78 projects have been submitted, from which 12 teams have been retained by a jury made up of experts from Atos, Siemens and the CEA. These finalists will participate in the ultimate stage, and be mentored by individuals from Atos and Siemens to develop their solution, using MindSphere, Siemens’ IoT operating system.
July 12, 2018 | The M4P consortium launches the Diatabase project
The M4P consortium launches the Diatabase project, the first diabetes database in France, to improve knowledge of the disease and its management.
Paris, 12 July 2018 - The M4P consortium, led by Altran, with the participation of diabetology stakeholders in France, the companies OpenHealth and Ant'inno, as well as Institut Mines-Telecom and CEA List, got the green light from Bpifrance to implement its project to establish a clinical database on diabetes, for the purpose of improving care, study and research on this pathology that affects 3.7 million people in France.
The M4P project has been validated by the General Directorate of Enterprises of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance as part of the Investments for the Future Programme - National Fund for the Digital Society.
