January 14, 2015 | Paris Saclay RIF Launch
As part of the European ECHORD ++ project CEA LIST offers SMEs and institutions, a set of robots and how to use them. These robots are available in the RIF Paris Saclay (Robotics Innovation Facilities). They are available to stimulate the emergence of new ideas related to robotics and to bridge the gap between research and industry. The objectives of this RIF are:
- For SMEs, to facilitate access to robotic technology to test new equipment (for instance actuators, sensors) or software to evaluate or compare the performance of robots, to estimate the opportunities offered by robotics for particular applications. To achieve this goal, the principle of the RIF is to host short experiences related to robotics (from a few days up to 6 weeks).
- For users or future users (teacher, school, students) to take explore the potential of robotics
To achieve this goal the Paris Saclay RIF offers easy access to its robotic platforms and associated services.
Three RIF are being implemented:
- Bristol Robotics Lab in the UK
- at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Peccioli , Italy
- CEA LIST, at Paris-Saclay in France
During this information day, the ECHORD++ project and the RIF were presented:
